Sunday Gay Cocktails – 39 Degrees at The Sky Hotel
July 12, 2009
This one was positively wild. I had to work, but from the reports that I got, the scene was filled with Aspen locals out to enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon at The Sky. By the time the music festival concert had ended and we all got to The Sky, it was rolling hard and everyone had their groove on.
There was a large contingent of boys up from Boulder, who added to the mix, and who were quite impressed with how affectionate the Aspen locals are. Thank you to Kevin Daly for making that happen!
Guerilla Gaybar – Library Bar at the Hotel Jerome
July 3, 2009
OK, so this was an amazing night! It was the first Guerilla Gaybar of the summer season and a ton of folks showed up for this one. When we got to the Library Bar around 9:00, it was relatively quiet, but as the night progressed, more and more people started showing up until it was so packed that you could hardly move! I think we had more than 50 people in there at one point.
The new music students who are filing in for the summer showed up, as well as some of the actors from the shows at Theatre Aspen. It looks like it’s going to be a fun summer with all the new talent in town, and judging from the emails, people really had a blast!
